Oily Skin can quickly turn into sensitive skin, if you don’t know how to take care of it. This is why you need an effective face toner for oily skin. Why a toner? Your skin’s delicate PH balance can get disturbed while washing your face, and applying skincare products with potent skincare ingredients directly on the skin, can cause irritation and inflammation. The Best Skin Care Routine for your Skin

Are you looking for the best skin care routine? Don’t worry, I got you covered, because filters are great, but great skin is always better. Won’t you agree? Also, make goes best when you have great skin, and the only thing that can help you achieve great skin is a skincare routine that works for you.

But, before we step into this, make sure that you have a skincare regime that is based on your skin type, or else it may have an adverse effect on your skin, causing your skin to get irritated and breakout. For instance, if you have dry skin, and opt for a skincare regime that is meant for oily skin, it will dry out your skin, causing your skin to get inflamed. Most importantly, you will not receive any desired benefits and end up disturbing the delicate balance of your skin.

So, you know what you need to do first. Now, let’s move on to the skin care routine that Aromatic Garden Essence recommends to all its clients.

A best skin care routine generally involves these 5 steps:

  • Cleansing
  • Toning
  • Serum
  • Moisturizing
  • Protection

Morning Skincare Routine

In the morning skincare routine, you will first double-cleanse your face. Then apply toner and follow with serum. Now which serum? You can go with serums that have hydrating and brightening properties. Then moisturize with a good day cream or moisturizer and apply sunscreen. Make sure that you apply broad-spectrum sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30 to protect your skin from sun damage.

Night Skin Care Routine

A night skin care routine is very important because at night your skin goes into repair mode, reversing the damage done during the day. Also as we age, skin’s repair process starts to slow down and so it needs an extra boost to function at optimal. Now, you know why you need it, let’s see what you have to do.

Start with double cleansing your face, apply toner, followed by a serum that has skin-repairing properties. In the end, apply your favorite moisturizer. If you are above the age of 30, an eye cream would also be highly beneficial. In the end, apply lip balm and you are ready to hit the bed.

In case, if you need help finding the right products for your skin, that are not just gentle on the skin, but also effective, then you should consider checking out AGE AM/PM Skincare Regimes, where we have skincare regimes for all skin types, even yours.

How to Get Glowing Skin? – Face Packs for Glowing Skin

Who doesn’t want their skin to glow, like a freshly done facial, but getting a facial every now and then is often impossible. So, what can we do? It’s time to turn to our trusted skin friend – homemade face pack for glowing skin. Just a few ingredients from your kitchen and Voila! The magic concoction is ready.

AGE Dry Fruit Body Uptan

Here are 3 easy-to-make face packs for glowing skin:

1: The Golden Glow Uptan

You can add this uptan in your daily routine for glowing skin. You only need Besan or gram flour, a pinch of turmeric, and a spoonful of yogurt or dahi. Mix it well so there are no lumps. If you have oily skin, you can also add a few drops of lemon juice. (Keep in mind, only a few drops, because lemon juice contains a high quantity of critic acid and can irritate your skin.) Now your face pack is ready. Apply on your face and leave it for 10-15 minutes. If you have oily skin, you can let the paste dry out completely or up to 90%, other skin types can let it dry for about 60-70 percent.

Wash with normal water and enjoy the glow.

2: Refreshing coffee pack

This pack is my absolute favourite, as it helps to give my skin an instant glow.  For this pack, you would need some coffee power (any coffee), honey, and a few drops of lemon. Mix well. The product will be a little runny, so you will need a brush to apply it well or you can also use your fingers. Make sure that you clean your face with water before application. Now, apply the potion to your face and neck. Let it dry completely. Once dried, wash it off with plain water.

It can be a little sticky due to the honey, but believe me it feels divine after washing.

3: Brightening Tomato Pack

This is yet another pack that I use very often, whenever my skin feels dull. For this pack, you would need one small tomato, 1 spoon of gram flour (besan) & a pinch of turmeric. You may also add a little honey, for moisturisation. Now mix all the ingredients well.

Apply on your face and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then wash. Do it and tell me the difference you noticed.

That’s all for today. I hope you liked these simple and easy DIY face packs for glowing skin. But after this, I highly recommend you follow your skin care daily routine for glowing skin. Also, include a natural face toner for glowing skin, and say bye-bye to dull lifeless skin.

What’s the Difference Between Body Cream and Body Lotion?

Using body lotion for glowing skin has become a habit for most of us. Be it body lotion or body cream for dry skin, you will agree that nothing can beat the soothing feeling of applying them on the body right after a refreshing bath. It makes our skin smell good and soft for hours, it comes in beautiful fragrances… and oh! What’s not to love about them?

But, when it comes to choosing one of them, the struggle is real. Let me help you understand the difference and which one should you prefer for your skin type.

Body Lotions

Body Lotion contains lighter oils and generally higher water content. Formulated to provide hydration without being too heavy on the skin. Even body lotion for men is usually based on the same formula. Due to being lighter in consistency and more liquid in nature, body lotion is easy to spread and gets absorbed quickly into your skin, without a greasy feel. Ideal for daily use, body lotion can be used in warmer weather.

Body Cream

Body creams work like a moisturiser for dry skin, due to a higher concentration of butters and oils, which makes them thicker in consistency than body lotion. The lower water content and higher concentration of butters and oils help in locking moisture, providing your skin with deeper hydration. When compared to body lotion, body cream takes a longer time to get absorbed into the skin, giving the skin longer-lasting moisturization. The thicker consistency and lasting moisturization of body creams make them ideal for colder seasons.

Another difference between body lotion and body cream is that body lotion is often used to maintain skin’s hydration which makes it ideal for people with oily and normal skin, while body cream is formulated to address concerns of dry, flaky, or rough skin, so it suits people with dry skin. However, nowadays, there are many brands that have launched body lotion for dry skin. This lotion for dry skin has a little higher concentration of oils & butters than regular body lotion. The concentration is higher, but not as high as in body creams.  Now you know the difference, you can choose the one that goes best for your skin.
